"line and light VIII" is part of a series of eight figurative studies. Characteristic are the sketch-like lines in natural tones and the flat areas of yellow, which create a reduced, open effect. Various media such as ink, pencils, and acrylic paint interact to create a lively, textured surface. For this series, I worked for the first time on cardboard honeycomb panels, whose visible, slightly rough edges are part of the aesthetic effect. The painting was signed and coated with a protective varnish. I recommend mounting the work in a floater frame in white or natural colors to further emphasize the materiality
